HearMyStory exists for one simple reason:

Because sometimes people just need to be seen, heard, and given a real chance.

We connect individuals who are going through difficult situations with people who are willing to help, directly, transparently, and without barriers.


How It Works

Every person on HearMyStory has their own page where they can share:

  • Their story
  • What they’re going through
  • The type of help they’re looking for

If you choose to support someone, you give directly to them using their personal payment link (such as Venmo).

We do not collect, hold, or distribute any funds.

Every story on HearMyStory represents a real person in your community who is going through something difficult.

If you come across someone’s story, whether through a QR code, shared link, or in your local area, you have the opportunity to support them directly.

You can help by:

  • Providing financial support directly to the individual
  • Providing food, shelter, clothing or other items
  • Identifying employment opportunities for them
  • Sharing their story with others in the community
  • Taking the time to read and understand their situation

HearMyStory is built on a simple idea: people are more willing to help than we think, especially when they can see and understand someone’s situation up close. By creating a direct connection between individuals and their community, we make it easier for real help to happen in real time.

By using this platform:
Individuals sharing their story confirm they have the right to share all submitted content
Participants are responsible for the accuracy of their information
Supporters are responsible for their own decisions when providing assistance
HearMyStory is not responsible for any interactions, agreements, or outcomes between users.

5. Content & Consent
By submitting a story or participating:
You grant HearMyStory permission to publish and display your content
You confirm that any photos or materials submitted are owned by you or used with permission
HearMyStory may edit content for clarity, formatting, or length
You may request updates or removal of your content at any time.

6. No Professional Advice
HearMyStory does not provide:
Medical advice
Legal advice
Financial advice
Mental health counseling
Any information shared on this platform should not be considered professional guidance.

7. Platform Role
HearMyStory acts solely as a connector between individuals and their communities.
We do not:
Act as an intermediary for funds

HearMyStory reserves the right to remove any content that:

We also reserve the right to deny or remove participation at our discretion.

11. External Payment Platforms
All payments are processed through third-party platforms (e.g., Venmo).
HearMyStory is not responsible for:
Payment processing issues
Fraud or disputes
Account limitations or restrictions
